The Making of Monument Valley 3 is a New Documentary Exploring its Behind The Scenes

Ustwo Games has unveiled a short documentary titled Building the Impossible: The Making of Monument Valley 3. The game launched last week on PC and consoles, and the new video aims to give us a closer look at the creative journey behind the latest puzzle‑adventure chapter.

The Making of Monument Valley 3 has been released on Ustwo Games’ official YouTube channel. The film shows how the small London studio sculpted Noor’s new voyage across surreal geometry and serene seas.

The documentary takes us through sketch-filled rooms and melodic recording studios. It focuses on the evolution of art direction throughout the trilogy and the experimental new mechanics introduced in the game.

You can also get a glimpse of the collaborative work that produced the soundtrack, which is now nominated for awards. Developers, artists and the composer share candid reflections on creating the visual illusion and audio atmosphere.

Is the game on Android?

Monument Valley 3 debuted on mobile devices via Netflix Games in December 2024. But remember the time when Netflix announced that they’re removing more than 20% of the mobile games from their roster? Well, unfortunately, all the Monument Valley games were on the list.

I guess the devs might be planning to release the game as a standalone version on mobile. Although there has been no solid announcement on it yet. Until the game lands on Android, you can check out the first two instalments on the Google Play Store. No Netflix needed to play them!
