EcoDash Is an Endless Runner Where You Tackle Air Pollution and Save Animals

Mother Nature: EcoDash is a new endless runner on Android with a cause. The name already gives you a hint about this game where you take on pollution headfirst. It’s by BOM (Birmingham Open Media), a UK-based immersive arts organisation.

The game is actually a collaboration between BOM and a group of girls aged 11-18 from Powered by CAN, a youth project. Through their input, BOM’s Immersive Studio was able to shape everything from the art style to the game mechanics.

So, What’s Special About Mother Nature: EcoDash?

You play as Mother Nature, a Black female scientist with the goal of cleaning up the city and saving animals. She’s being chased by Smog, a villain determined to make things worse. You outrun pollution, collect air purifiers and keep the smog meter low unless you want to get swallowed up by a toxic cloud.

Apart from the running and jumping, Mother Nature: EcoDash has a bunch of rescue missions involved. As you race through the city, you’ll find endangered animals waiting for a helping hand. Make it to the rainforest, and you’ll get to release them back into their natural habitat.

BOM had a clear goal when creating the game. They wanted to make climate change and air pollution something people can understand in a fun, engaging way. The game is full of power-ups, shields and bonus items to help you out.

Mother Nature: EcoDash is a simple game with a meaningful message. Check it out on the Google Play Store if it sounds interesting to you.
